I AM

The revelation of the nature of God
taking me to the end of my existence
I arrive in a moment of clarity
weeping

Revelation drinking keeps me breathing
the mystery of this so purposeful proclamation
of a name

Deeper reality embedded in the sovereign spirit-breathed
history of how you love
I AM in awe of one I cannot surpass
Of one to whom I cannot apply
any amount of intellect or internalized methods of madness
which would seek to uncover and discover a fraud
or something that I can hold down

I gather all that is left in me:
a drop of my intellect to snuff out
this eternal burning
bush is speaking with a voice in the likeness of the son of man

The futility of my striving
fire fighting spirit of skepticism
rising to leave me
lonely
standing on holy ground
barefoot and exposed for who
I AM

Unquenchable fire
is the desire of the living God
to express the essence of his being

And now beyond the full potential
of human expectancy
a word
a touch
a spear of kindness
thrown into the center of my soul

No need for introductions
or establishing trust
but simply, deeply
all at once
Holiness hidden
filling me to fullness
for just a moment
a glimpse of forever
Remembered for generations
